RH Aero Systems today executed a Phase 2 agreement with UAMCO covering additional OEM-licensed overhaul tools for CFM LEAP engines.

Paris, FR, June 17, 2025 – RH Aero Systems today executed a Phase 2 agreement with UAMCO covering additional OEM-licensed overhaul tools for CFM LEAP engines. Signed on the second day of the Paris Air Show, the agreed on tooling will be delivered from the third quarter of 2025 onward. The contract further deepens the exclusive partnership forged between the two companies and GE Aerospace to create the first dedicated LEAP maintenance hub in Cyprus.

The new order arrives on the heels of a rapid start-up phase in Larnaca, where UAMCO’s facility has accepted ten LEAP-1A powerplants in its first four months of operation. The inaugural Performance Restoration Shop Visit (PRSV) was completed last week, three weeks ahead of UAMCO’s turnaround time contractual commitment—providing early proof that combination of workshop’s efficient processes and RH Aero’s tooling suite and training support is the best formula for the success.

To sustain the momentum, UAMCO has grown to twenty-seven technicians and engineers and continues to expand their team. RH Aero maintains a resident support contingent led by Stuart Robinson who has worked extended shifts, including weekends, to help the shop navigate complex PRSV tasks that go well beyond routine quick-turn work. Behind the scenes, rest of RH Aero team Blake Grier, Dan Hudepohl, Anuj Mhaskar and Sadhin Thilakan continue to fine-tune day-to-day tooling technical, operational and logistics requirements for UAMCO while finalizing specifications for the current Phase 2 tooling package.

“From RH Aero’s vantage point, our partnership with UAMCO shows how close cooperation can accelerate value for every stakeholder,” said Marin Rosich, Regional Director for the Middle East, Africa & India and overall project lead for RH Aero. “Pairing our Readiness Hub digital platform with a hands-on expert team and best in class tooling solutions allowed UAMCO to beat its very first contractual deadline by three weeks. The comprehensive Phase 2 tooling suite we signed today locks in additional capacity for complex PRSV work and signals our long-term commitment to supporting GE Aerospace and LEAP operators across three continents.”

“RH Aero has been our partner since Day 1 and provided critical support that contributed to our success,” echoes John Savvides, Chief Executive Officer for UAMCO. “That is why we are very excited to expand our partnership and continue to leverage RH Aero’s experience and expertise on our quest to further expand our LEAP engine maintenance capability and support GE Aerospace, CFM and our customers.

While manufacturing of new tool sets is under way, RH Aero is building a Cyprus-based supply-chain network to shorten spares lead-times and streamline tool service support. The first local vendors are already undergoing qualification audits, and the complete network is scheduled to be operational by the end of the third quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, UAMCO has opened its doors to potential airline and lessor customers, offering live demonstrations of PRSV stages carried out with RH Aero tooling - an initiative both companies plan to formalise into regular showcase events later this year.
