Wheel, Brake, and Tyre Handling

Overview

Wheel, brake and tyre jobs happen on almost every overnight stop, yet each aircraft type brings different clearances, weights and safety rules. RH Aero’s Wheel, Brake & Tyre-Handling line covers the lot, from hydraulic dollies that cradle wide-body wheels to an enclosed service-support trailer that tows two A380 wheels, an axle jack and tools straight to the stand. Single-wheel handling dollies and calibrated tyre-pressure gauges round out the kit, all finished in Skydrol-resistant coatings and supplied with proof-calibration where required.

Use Cases

Supported Aircraft Types:

  • all Aircraft types are supported

Typical operations

  • Wheel and brake removal/installation during line or heavy checks with hydraulic change dollies.
  • Movement and short-term storage of loose wheels on low-profile handling dollies.
  • Ramp-side wheel and brake swaps using the fully enclosed trailer with spring-balanced ramp and optional nitrogen charging cabinet.
  • Tyre-pressure verification with ±1 %-accurate gauges before dispatch.

Benefits

Full task coverage: Dollies, handling carts, trailers and gauges tackle removal, transport, storage and servicing in one product line.

Single-technician operation: Hydraulic pedal pumps, low-gradient ramps and swivel castors let one mechanic handle even A380 wheels safely.

Flexible capacity: Change dollies span wheel diameters from sub-regional 270 mm to wide-body 1 500 mm without extra adapters.

Mobile service centre: The wheel & brake trailer integrates stowage, nitrogen charging and tooling, turning any tug into a rapid-response workshop.

Regulatory assurance: Tyre gauges ship with calibration certificates, and all handling gear meets CE / BS EN safety standards with Skydrol-resistant finishes.
